Lego Album Covers

Apparently, there are people who recreate classic album covers from Lego bricks and figurines.
Here's a couple, see if you can guess the originals

Mary Epworth

Ain't gonna say much, just gonna ask you to listen to this massive song.
New album out soon, another one to watch out for in 2012

Mary Epworth - Black Doe

Lee, Nancy and Deerhunter

I've been listening to this brilliant set I found on the Mixcloud page of The Jesus and Mary Chain, it features a nice blend of rockabilly, oldies and dark 80's.

One of the last songs in that mix is called 'Sand' by Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra. It's a pretty cool track, like some of their other collaborations, but it reminded me of something by one of my favorite bands of the recent years. First, have a listen to 'Sand':

now have a listen to 'Revival' by Deerhunter, it's like part II of the same song.
I'm not trying to imply that they ripped them off, they just managed to capture a certain feel that Lee and Nancy had so easily mastered.

Stereolab - French Disko

It's time for another live classic, I think I'm gonna make it a weekly thing from now on.

Say hello to Stereolab circa 1993. With Lætitia Sadier and Mary Hansen (R.I.P) on dual vocals and some extra moog live action they bring their analog disco rock to a pretty weird TV studio on UK's channel 4.
Be sure not to miss the dancing Trojan warrior on 1:44

The Rock Show

The Rock Show is here again to hit you in the face with a sponge and a rusty spanner.

Sketching

Simple drawings can have a certain charm to them, add some humor and a hint of musical references and you end up with some great stuff.

Scott C. has captured some nice moments in his work and included some pop icons in his drawings.

Ramones + Pizza
